Treasure Hunt Ideas

Close-up Photos

The location of the next clue is shown by taking a close-up photograph of its location. This type of clue is good because you can contol the difficulty. Generally it’s a good idea to take a close-up of something quite distinctive. If the treasure hunters don’t recognise what is in the image they can hunt around the house to see if they can spot it.

Something that can be mistaken for a number of locations can make the clue more interesting. For example, a closeup of a computer keyboard is usually quite recognisable, but many homes have several computer keyboards that could be hiding the clue, meaning that all must be checked.

Some good examples include:

  • Book and DVD covers
  • Logos from food items in a cupboard
  • Ornaments
  • Plant leaves
